Season 2025 – 2026 is the year of Transition

in which the studio with the offered trainings will transition slowly in it’s form yet with a clear vision and focus on embodied performance practices.
Together – Diederick van Rijsewijk & Iris van Peppen – will create space for trainings, workshops, public sharings and residencies with the aim to include artists and non artists that share a deep interest in the body as a resource for creation.

In November the great Julyen Hamilton visited the studio to teach a 2 day workshop. July 11-15 we will host a SUMMER INTENSIVE: Somatic Movement & Imprography Lab with Miri Lee & Iris van Peppen.

Embodied Performance Practices

Where Iris van Peppen will share her extended experience as a dance teacher and maker, bringing her unique and curious insight on the integration of a somatic experience within a performative context, Diederick van Rijsewijk will bring his experience as an all round composer. Coming from music – as a singer / songwriter, musician and physical performer –  rooted in somatics and bringing his swift humour and imaginative mind; participants will gain a deep understanding of musical embodiment.

In this training the weight is given to: somatic exploration, integrating somatic knowledge within a performative context and performance principles.
No experience is needed for this training.

Concert and dance performance in one, between punk and meditation, Fragments of sky shifts the boundaries of a dance performance.

This performance immerses you in the vibrant relationship between dancers, sound and space. Varying from a pulsing rhythm, like a heartbeat, until stilled presence.
