For many years I've been working as a dance artist in the field of instant composition and contemporary dance. My starting point is to build from what is present. This can be during a regular class in modern dance technique but also when creating a dance piece on a site specific location.
When creating a dance performance the dance and space will have a symbiotic relation: one can't exist without the other.

Apart of my own organisation and company Dansimprovisatie Utrecht I work as a teacher, performer, choreographer, organiser and coach in dance. Without distinction I work with non-professional dancers, professional (dance) artists and mothers with their babies, to name a few.
To me this is all connected to what dance as an art in life really means: 'being truely in contact with our body in time, space and in relation with others'. Since we all move and improvise in our daily life.
